Rivershore and the Relay for Life!

August 15, 2008

On June 13, 2008 Rivershore and the Aktion Club participated in the Relay For Life to support the American Cancer Society.

This event offers everyone in the community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length!

Although this year experienced some wet weather, the event was moved inside the Lewiston Porter Gymnasium and continued for 12 hours! Thank you to everyone representing Rivershore and the Aktion Club who participated in this great event!
