Message from Jeff Sanderson, Executive Director …
With 2009 now upon us Rivershore continues working hard for the people we serve. During these unprecedented economic times we must work together like never before to find creative, efficient, and most importantly effective ways to deliver the highest quality services. Although the past year has brought many changes and unfortunately some disappointments, it is so important that we take time to reflect on the many good things that happened in 2008. With this in mind, here are some Rivershore highlights from the past year:
On August 13, 2008 Rivershore celebrated at their 4th Annual Picnic at Whirlpool State Park in Niagara Falls. Depsite some wet weather earlier in the afternoon, the event was well attended and enjoyed by all!

The 2008 Annual Board of Directors meeting was held on June 16 and the following Board members were elected into office.

On June 13, 2008 Rivershore and the Aktion Club participated in the Relay For Life to support the American Cancer Society.
Once again, Rivershore, Inc. was priveledged to have Dr. Tom Pomeranz visit and provide various presenations and personalized coaching to various leaders of the organization. Dr. Tom Pomeranz is a nationally recognized authority, trainer, clinician and consultant in the field of services for people with disabilities. He is also the highly acclaimed creator of Universal Enhancement, which teaches strategies promoting community participation and supporting people to have a quality life. Additionally, he is noted for his innovative approach to leadership and management training.
